A Dancer Gives Everything. Then The Event Ends. And That’s Where The Story Stops.

A dancer trains for months. They step onto the floor, they sweat, sometimes they bleed, and the room feels every second of it. Then the lights come up, everyone goes home, and they are told to be happy for the exposure. For most dancers, that is where the story stops.

It’s not that organisers don’t care. Running a live event costs a lot, and most barely break even. The economics never allowed a model where the people who perform also get paid.

We wanted to build that model.

Not to replace what exists to add something new. A simple, transparent, fair way for the community to directly support the artists it celebrates. That’s the BTM Digital Archive.

The Origin Story

It Started With A Question

Back in 2015 before Beyond The Moves was even a brand I ran a small event and tried something different. Instead of posting the footage on YouTube, I sold access for $3 and used every penny to pay the dancers.

I thought maybe fifty people would care.

Over 300 people bought it.

No sponsors. No brands just the community saying we see the value, and we want to support the art. That moment proved something I never forgot: give people a real way to back the culture, and they will.

BTM 2015 — community moment

A Completely New Way To Split The Money

You’ve heard people say they’re changing the game. Almost nobody actually does. So don’t take our word for it. Look at exactly how the money moves, and decide for yourself.

You buy a Digital Pass for £10. That £10 is split 50/50. Half covers production, filming and editing. The other half goes into a shared pot, divided equally between 25 performing artists.

This isn’t a donation. It isn’t crowdfunding. You’re buying access to every performance from the weekend and half of what you pay goes straight to the people who made it happen.

We did not set the price to make money on this. We set it to prove a better way is possible. That is why half is gone before we keep a single penny.

50%

To BTM: production, filming & editing. This half covers all the costs.

50%

Straight to the 25 performing artists. Theirs, completely, from the very first pass.

We change the rules ourselves

No Outsider Is Coming To Fix This. So We Change The Rules Ourselves, And Your £10 Is The Vote.

What Your £10 Makes Possible

On its own, £10 isn’t much. But here’s what happens when the community shows up together. The more people join, the more each of the 25 artists takes home.

Better Than A Livestream. And It’ll Never Be On YouTube.

You might expect a livestream. We’re doing something different. Wi-Fi drops, screens freeze, you miss the raw energy of the room. So instead we built the BTM Digital Archive.

My team films every performance, edits it, and uploads it to your private archive organised by category, within about an hour of each round. Hip Hop. All-Style. Choreography. The full weekend (Fri 10 – Sun 12 July), professionally captured and ready whenever you want it.

BTM Experience performances will no longer be on YouTube. Every artist still receives the full video of their own performances, to post and share however they want.

One Digital Pass. Everything From The Weekend.

Every performance from BTM Experience 2026, professionally filmed & edited
All battles from Top 16 through to the Finals
  The full choreography contest
Talk segments where the audience interacts with the dancers
Organised by category: Hip Hop, All-Style, Choreography
Uploaded within approximately one hour of each round
Yours to keep forever, once the archive locks

And 50% of your pass goes directly to the 25 artists who made it happen. All of that for £10.

Who Gets Paid?

8

Hip Hop
Top 4 from preselection + 4 invited guests

8

All-Style
Top 4 from preselection + 4 invited guests

9

Choreography
Top 3 choreographers + their 6 dancers

That’s 25 artists, all receiving the same share whether they win or lose. The winners also receive their cash prize on top. The community rewards the art, not just the result.

From wherever you are

You Don’t Need A Plane Ticket To Be Part Of This. For £10, This Is How You Show Up.

This Is Year 1. Imagine Year 3.

Even if we only sell 1,500 passes, it proves the model works the artists get paid, the community showed up, and we have something to build on. But if we hit 5,000? That’s a statement: proof that when you give people a genuine way to support the culture, they will, at scale.

Then we do it again in Year 2. And Year 3. Each time, the numbers grow, the payouts grow, and what starts as a gesture becomes something nobody in the scene can ignore.

And you were part of it from the beginning.

The Archive Locks On 19 July.

BTM Experience runs Friday 10 – Sunday 12 July. The Digital Archive stays open for one week after the event ends. On 19 July at midnight, it locks. Forever.

£10. Half goes to the artists. The other half keeps this running so we can do it again next year. We kept the price exactly where it is because the goal isn’t to maximise profit, it’s to prove there’s a better way. And that takes all of us.
